The Anvil is an award given annually by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), as a symbol of the highest level of excellence in the practice of public relations in the Philippines, by reflecting and promoting public interest, good values, and real public service.
“PRSP has received more than 200 entries this year, the highest thus far, in the Anvil Awards’ 43-year history. PRSP is proud to note the very enthusiastic response by companies and public relations practitioners. This has made the Anvil awards even more prestigious,” Juris Soliman, 43rd Anvil Awards chairman, said.
The Anvil has two categories: PR programs and PR tools. These are further divided into various sub-categories, capped by the Bronze Anvil and the Grand Anvil awards.
“The selection is such that unless standards are met, no award is given,” Soliman said.
The award was received for SBGFC by its President and COO Benel Lagua. With him are (fom left to right) PRSP Anvil Award Committee Chair Juris Soliman, SBGFC Vice president for controllership Alfredo S. Dimaculangan, SBGFC editorial board member Susan Lara, SBGFC vice president for administrative services Ms. Alice L. Sy and Corporate planning department manager Josefina P. Flores.
